About Us

Who We Are

A Social Enterprise, started by two civil rights activists, in order to bridge the need for marketing for the indigenous Bedouin tourist businesses. We, Sliman - an Israeli Bedouin, and Yeela - an Israeli Jew, have been active together in the Bedouin's civil rights for decades. We view these indigenous tourist venues as having important potential in strengthening the local Bedouin economy, as well as bringing people from different cultures to know and respect each other.

... And all of this while making sure you are having fun!

Ecotourism is defined as "responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people."

The Bedouin way of life sustained itself in a fragile environment. Today, when you visit these tourist sites, your hosts continue with their time honored respect of the desert, while you participate in improving the well-being of these indigenous people.

The Bedouin

An Ancient people, creating a livelyhood and a culture in stark desert conditions. The Bedouin were defined by the black goats' hair tents, the dependency on livestock and the ablity to move with their flocks, their amazing hospitality, well known as a proud and dignified people.

Today, adapting to the modern environment, they still hold dear the values of honor, generosity and hospitality. You can experience these in any encounter with people of this community.
